I went to Benedetto's for the first time on my trip to Florida a couple of weeks ago. We loved it so much we went back again for dinner that same week. The food is excellent, had prime rib one night, steak and shrimp the other, both delicious and well presented! The rolls are to die for too!! The salad could have been bigger but then I might not have been able to finish my main meal. We took home some cheese cake on our last night, again, delicious!! The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and prompt, and you can't beat their specials.... I paid $9.99 for both my entrees!! The main man behind Benedetto's was there the second night to greet people at the Reception desk, nice touch!!
We'll go again and again on all our trips there, it's fantastic for eating outdoors in the good weather!!!
We have been there many times , it is always hit or miss, on the service. The bartenders are understaffed and overworked. The outside bar should be looked at by the health dept. The son of the owner should stay far far away from the place. He is like a little spoiled child that knows nothing about customer service, ( this starts from the top ). The Food has always been pretty good. The 9.99 specials are a very good deal. The place simply lacks any good management.
Visited on a weekday, very quickly seated, maybe 1/4 full. Wife and I had a nice chat for 10 mins, 20 mins... finally got a waitress. Took our drink order... had another 10 minute chat..hey we now have drinks.
The person making the drinks, most likely could not make a sports shoe smell, tried to convince my wife that the drink she had ordered was made correctly his way, not the way she knows it to be made.....(she's correct, btw)....
20 minutes later we got salads, 10 minutes more to get attention that the silverware was FILTHY and to get more... 30 more, the main dish...
Neither meal was special in any sort of fashion..
Every bit of it was the standard Sysco Food Products standard quality for the meal.
The atmosphere is nice overlooking the harbor, but I feel the ceiling tiles will fall in any moment hereafter...
The loud heavy metal music and vast amounts of swearing from the kitchen area would not make my list of family friendly spots...
Then came the check... not only did I add a nice tip for the service, but when I check my banking statement, it's entered for a completely incorrect amount.
I called the place, and got nothing, that there is nothing that they can do. So no I need to dispute with the bank, YES, I have my copy of the receipt...
The place has the location, but it's nothing special, not worth the time or effort.
