Have only good things to say about Waldorf Ford. All the employees I dealt with, from the internet department, salesperson, sales manager and service manager have been 5 Star employees.
I was in the market for a Ford Fusion Hybrid. I contacted 3 dealerships to get pricing and availability on this vehicle. This version of the Fusion is in limited supply, but Waldorf was willing to get the exact vehicle I wanted and still met the pricing no other dealership was willing to negotiate.
All went well until 3 days after delivery. The hybrid went into cardiac arrest. We were able to get it to the local dealer for service. They worked with the Ford engineers to diagnose the problem, had the part shipped in, and returned the car a week later to us fixed. The local dealer wasn't as friendly about getting us a loaner car when they found out we hadn't purchase the Fusion at their dealership. They were concerned who would pay for the loaner. It didn't matter to me as Ford would pick up the cost in the end since the car only had 350 miles since we owned it.
Well we used it for about 20 miles the day it was returned and the same problem came back. Frustrated that the local dealer hadn't solved the problem, I called Waldorf Ford, spoke with the sales manager, and he offered to send a flatbed truck with a loaner on a Saturday morning to pick up the Fusion Hybrid. Since they sold the car they preferred to find out what was wrong. They worked with the Ford engineers and determined that the part that had been replaced could also be defective. They ordered another throttle, replaced the second one, did some other checking and after having the service manager drive it home a 100 miles trucked the repaired Fusion Hybrid back to Columbia, MD.
The service and sales manger listened to my concerns about getting the only Hybrid Fusion with the same problem part replaced twice, that the service manger requested Ford to give us an extended warranty at Ford's cost. As I told them in my research on the internet, all purchasers of the Ford Fusion just raved about their cars and none complained about any service issues when their cars were brand new.
I have nothing but praise for the employess of Waldorf Ford. This dealership is 50 miles from my home, but I would not hesitate to return for service and to buy another vehicle.
