Love this restaurant! The decor is awesome and everything on the menu is so tasty! You have to try their soups - they are amazing, best soups that I have ever had. The spicy brisket and black bean soup is out of this world! Shelly, the owner and waitress is very outgoing and friendly. While you are there, check out the ladies room, (if your a woman, that is) it is very fancy.

Nov 2009 - It has been several months since I wrote my review of Desperado's and when I saw that some IDIOT posted two bad reviews of this restaurant, I felt that I must voice my opinion. I'm pretty sure that whoever wrote the two bad reviews were either a past employee or perhaps another BBQ competitor. This restaurant never fails to surprise me and their food really is awesome! I can never make up my mind if I want Brisket or Chicken. The chicken is outstanding, sure wish that I could make chicken that good. I also had a surprise birthday party for my husband at this restaurant and everyone who attended loved the place! You really need to try to place - you won't be disappointed! YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to Desperados many times and have nothing but good food AND service there. I love the brisket and spicy chicken wing soup. I have even tried the Strawberry Feta Salad with Georgia Pecans and the Cranberry Pear Salad with Gorgonzola and Sweet Pecans. When you go to the restaurant Shelly and Bill as well as any of their employees ALWAYS treat you as a member of their family - hence - a GREAT Family owned establishment. I have been there for casual dining and as a part of a group and also for meetings. Service is GREAT and the place is clean. I believe that the people who left the negative reviews were from the twilight zone - they must be used to fast food chains and do not know a good place when they see it. I would recommend this place to anyone - and I have. Keep up the good work Shelly and Bill!

Apparently someone has a vendetta against Desperado's, because I have ate at this restaurant many of times and have always had excellent service by Shelly and Bill. Now let's talk about the food - I'm not in the business of putting down other restaurants, so all I'm going to say about this is you HAVE TO TRY IT! Their food is amazing, they have awesome soups and I'm not really a soup person. The brisket is the best that I have ever had with amazing three kinds of bbq sauce. I know that chicken skin isn't the most healthiest of food, but I can't help but eat the skin on their chicken...so tasty! They also have different side dishes, and the corn bread and corn pudding are soooo good! The restaurant is always clean and they like to move their decorations around, so we are always looking to see where things are moved. One of mhy friends comes from Canada just to come to this restaurant! I have also been there for a surprise party and the catering food was outstanding as well! Put this restaurant on your list of places to try!!!!
