I signed up for a one-hour private golf lesson with the owner of the shop, Jeff, for $60 some time in mid-September. Thinking that it would be a real "private" lesson and a great deal, I thought it was too good to be true--and it was.

On the day of my appointment, I got to the shop on time. Unfortunately, I had to wait for 15 minutes until I was attended to. I thought it was smooth sailing from there once he got to me, even worse, the "private" lesson was, in effect, a group lesson since there were two other women being taught by Jeff at the same time!! It was horrible.

Moreover, I understand that golf as any sport, involves instruction and practice, but it seems odd to me that I was only instructed for only 10 minutes while the remaining 50 minutes I was asked to "practice" as he would go to the other two women, observe them and talk to customers as they walk in his store! As a teacher, I know that a good instructor would observe and provide feedback, make corrections, etc., but Jeff failed to do that.

In addition, there was no method to his teaching. He was disorganized and instead of being methodical, he was all over the place. He had fancy gadgets, such as videotaping your swing, but is futile if the teacher is disorganized and doesn't explain well.

While Jeff is very knowledgeable, he was very unprofessional and I was appalled as to how he treated me as a customer. I was still charged the full $60 with no reservations.

I only recommend this place if you want to be ripped off. It is true that you get what you pay for...I'm now looking for another place for some quality and professionalism. His business will be reported to local golf associations and the Better Business Bureau.

This is a true golfers golf shop. Probably the best in the area. What they lack in square footage, they more than make up for in service, quality product and knowledgeable staff.

Jeff is a great advisor. He has great service and is willing to work with you on prices. Highly recommend him.
