User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI went to this salon two times. The colorist/stylist was Heather. I usually get monthly touch up to cover gray hair.
First time, for touch up and cut. Overall I was satisfied. The cut wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible.
Second, time with Heather. I knew I was in trouble when she mixed the color from scratch and had no notes from my previous visit. Even though I specifically stated that I did not want anything dark or purplish or burgundy that is exactly what I ended up with. And to make matter worse the roots did not match the rest of my hair.
Also, I have curly hair and said that I do not like it straighted. I asked for just a little product, diffuse dry and scrunch. Both times she tried to straighten. There are too many talented stylists out there to waste time with someone who doesn't listen.
Long story short, I am done with Blaze. I like a stylist who actually takes time to listen and actually look at your hair before they start mixing color. The products they use are far inferior to Aveda.-

Blaze is awesome! Pricey, but worth every penny. Dana, a newer stylist to Blaze, not the industry, communicated very well and followed the picture I showed her exactly. They offer you a glass of wine, the environment is relaxing and the interior is very modern & hip. I received the best haircut I've ever had at Blaze. I will definitly go back.

I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to salons, and Blaze has been the best salon I've ever been to by far. I used to go to a main line salon that was extremely pricey, and not only were the women snobby, but my hair color turned out just so-so. I used to live in west chester, so Blaze was just a few blocks away, but now i've moved to wayne and still travel the 45 minutes to the salon just so I know that when I leave, I'll be really happy. My stylist is Kate Jones and I've never been unsatisfied with her cut or color. A friend of mine goes to Jane and is just as happy. Definitely the place to go.
