| About: | Make no mistake, it's hard to impress a boss or a date by dining in a supermarket . But it's easy to forget that Mandola's is not just any market. The ambiance is sufficient to disguise the grocery shadow and the sit-down restaurant, with its fresh ravioli and pasta(del giorno) and an assortment of paninis takes most diners by surprise. The restaurant also has a gelato and coffee bar and a bakery with the most aromatic of breads and cakes. Owner-cum-chef Damian Mandola exhudes is passionate about his open kitchen. Get him talking about anchovies and he'll cork open a wine bottle. It could take the whole night, but don't worry. He'll make the time. Open daily 11 am onwards. |

Food is utterly bland. Pesto pasta tasted like it had been sitting out for days - not one bit of flavor or spice. Hot chocolate ordered was mostly water (seemed like a poor attempt at mixing hot water and a store-bought mix). While ambiance is nice, exceptionally bad food, especially in light of the ridiculously high prices you pay there.
Although a bit pricy, the food, ambience, and gelato Mandolas Market offers is well worth it.
The market offers homemade pasta, Italian sausage, bread, wine, and canned items.
The restaurant offers espresso, pasteries, and Italian dishes.
This is a fantastic place to spend a weekend lunch with loved ones... or by yourself.

"WE LOVED IT - AS AN ITALIAN WE LOVED THE ANTIPASTO PLATE THE PIZZA WAS EXCELLENT AND THE EGGPLANT PARMAGANO WAS AS GOOD AS IT GETS- WE HAD GREAT SERVICE, ATTENTIVE AND CARING. WE PURCHASED SEVERAL DESSERT ITEMS TO TAKE HOME AND WERE DELIGHTED. WE ALSO PURCHASED BREAD AND CHEESE. A GREAT SPOT"
As an italian??? since when do italians spell parmigiano, parmagano? if you are going to try to fool other customers atleast use spell check, you moron. Im guessing that you are someone for this restaurant. You are definitely not italian though. Good try.
