User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsExcellent guarache con nopales. Best Horchata I've had in awhile. Tacos de Tinga were very good. House margaritas were excellent, smooth and loaded. Tarasco Torta was good. Taco al Pastor was pretty good with the chunks of pina, but not quite as flavorful as Villanesa's. Fast and friendly service. Great atmosphere and decor, and very clean for an authentic Mexican joint, compared to the holes in the wall along Cherokee and in Fairmont City.
Would give Tarascos a five star rating, except for two things. They served store bought frozen french fries with the torta. Whats up with that? All the other food was so freshly prepared. They also continued to serve beer to a patron at the bar who was hammered, and this was the night of the 6" of snow and he had to drive back home. I live in south county, but will be heading back to Tarascos(near the airport) soon to sample more of their extensive menu.

Went back a second time and had the Guava Fresca, which was delicious. Tacos de Tripa were very good. Tacos de Chicharron were so-so as they were soggy and should have been grilled until crispy. Waiter said they would grill them until crispy if I ask next time. Tortilla soup was not so good, more of a ketchupy-tomato broth with chicken. They are a solid 4 star, but they'd have to get rid of the frozen french fires and bland tortilla soup for a fifth star. Restaurant was clean and service was again fast and friendly.
