Geno Nottolini's Pizza

If you are into sauce then this is the place.Order the sauce to go,by itself.Applied to any brand of frozen pizza would be an upgrade.When this Pizzeria changed hands in the early 1990,s the recipe for one of the then better Pizzas in the Land of Brats was included with the sale.A lot of changes took place.It has been some time since I ventured inside.This past Sunday Sept 30,2007 my companions and I sampled several of the changes.Not all improvements will assure a return visit.Once a dive Pizza Joint,that filled to capacity after bar time.When Last Call was only a memory, of the many barkeepers who sent late ~ nighters on to the next stop.This was the destination for Pizza !
The pictures have been hung,The Hiawatha train model (displayed near the entrance)greets arrivals.The true to scale train of what was once a mIghty form of TRANSPORTATION TO MIDWESTERNERS-should serve as a warning that what was once a good thing is only a memory.This orange icon should be mounted on a turntable
that greets, then spins you back out the door !
Bring your own Parmesan cheese or expect to pay an up-charge of $2.00.This is a Pizza joint?Come on what are we talking about here? When I expressed my disbelief ,the owner flew to our table and inquired if we had a problem? We talked.She explained that the shaker cheese is full of poison's.She now provides fresh ground cheese ala-cart. I inquired about the sausage.Ah ha how stupid of us,she also made her own.This night it was

Never have my guests and I been a party to any similar assault from the management of any eatery I have reviewed.The next time we are wandering the Lake Shore for food adventures we will drive past this dressed up Pig and head to Tony's in Manitowoc Wi..Well worth the trip.I could fill a bus with my guests as all rave about the tastes and quality of staff.
An omission of this place on the local tourist map was no error, but a fair statement of fact.We suggest you remove it from your map.

You my friend have to get your friends pork out of your posterior. This establishment is one of few northern pizzerias that makes pizzas in a traditional manner.Your reference to a BRAT recipe leads me to believe you've never made it out of the country to try a real traditional pizza, let alone ventured out of your little bubble of wisconsin. My only hope is that people remember that a critics taste is only as good as the person who taught them to make there own pizzas. What you've never made you r own home made pizza. HA HA HA HA !!!!!!

I agree with MeX's 4. Owners are actually ruder than the help. While the food is good, their service isn't. Not to mention trying to understand what they are saying. Totally awful.

It was late at night a the Blue Harbor hotel on a Sunday, nothing open nearby or in the hotel. Received a menu from the front desk, ordered 2 pizza's and some appetizers. Delivery was very quick and food was piping hot. Appetizers were very good, pizza was thin crust, not bad at all. Worth a call if you stay here.

The service is extremely terrible from them. We had ordered a specialty pizza, where there is only one way to make it. (Its the s.o.b. pizza) The lady on the phone had no idea what we were trying to order, and they delivered the wrong pizza twice. After trying to eat the second one, we didn't like how it tasted and brought it back to the restaurant ourselves to get our money back. We brought the uneaten pizza with us to show we didn't like it. The owner began saying we didn't order the pizza the correct way, and we told him what we said on the phone. After 5 minutes of arguing about what was said on the phone he began swearing at us and spit on one of us. After leaving the store pissed off and without our money back, the owner called our house and said "we have your phone # and we know where you live, we will take care of you", which is a direct threat to us. We had called the cops on him, and I personally hope the guy falls off a cliff and dies. He has no right to run a business and I hope nobody in the area orders from them again.
