User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been eating at Rock-N-Roll Sushi in Vacaville since they first open their doors. Sure they had their ups and downs especially during a period of a few months in 2008, when Joe the regular Sushi Chief had left and in his place was BOZO the Clown Sushi Chief who not only didnât know anything about GOOD SUSHI but was generally rude with customers. Well I am happy to report that the circus had left town taking BOZO with them and that JOE is now back and excellent Sushi has returned to Rock-N-Roll Sushi. I also would like to add that Joeâs wife is back too, cooking fine Japanese dishes.
If you stopped going to Rock-N-Roll Sushi in Vacaville because of poor food and service around April to October 2008, you owe it to yourself to go there again and see for yourself. The staff is friendly and they try very hard to provide good food and good service!
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI used to frequent R&R sushi but since they changed theire sushi chef man has the quality gone down. It used to be a great place to get away from these fast food cheap quality sushi places in the area. Now its nothing special. I was spoiled when I was stationed in Washington, great sushi hands down in the states. I was so happy to have found R&R sushi. But it's now a run of the mill place. I've been going to Umi sushi now and it's better but not anywear close to what R&R used to be. It's seems that Sac or SF would be the best places to go but it's far and not worth the gas. Your paying to much for what they are now offering. If your looking for quick cheap sushi go to Yo Sushi.If you want a decent dine in Type sushi go to Umi sushi. But I've had sushi that would put any state side sushijoint to shame in Japan. Try it and prove me wrong but hey when your wife is japanese and you have tasted the real deal it's hard to.

I am going to try to get to one of those places that Michael is talking about to see if he knows anything about sushi. I have been to rock-n-roll on several ocassions (i am going tonight) and I think that they have some of the best sushi in the region. to compare it to Safeway is to me is a bit much. If you try their sweet surrender, you will be impressed. If you try some of their average rolls (under $10) I could see how you might not be all that impressed. However, their specialty rolls are off the hook great! The only other place that rivals Rock-n-Roll is the Naked Fish in South Lake Tahoe. I was not all that impressed with Mikuni's in Sacramento.

Hi, its Jenn from Rock N Roll Sushi. I just wanted to post and let all of you know that we've got our old sushi chef Joe back. Which means for all you people out there that liked the old Rock N Roll can come and enjoy the food you all used to like. He's back behind the sushi bar so come and see him.
