User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsIf you like rice and beans, this is the place to go. The food is tasty...if only there was enough of it. There are bastante rice and beans but the main dish is a bit lacking for my taste, that is ...not enough! On my last visit, the cashier (who was very nice by the way) asked me if I wanted white or brown rice. In my efforts to healthy - dom, I ordered the brown rice. I cashed out and waited for my order. While waiting, I perused my bill. There was a charge for brown vs white rice...hmmm...did miss nice cashier advise me of this? No. The signs said "Brown rice available!" But that was it, no warning about a charge. "Go green" was charged on my bill too...what the...I was all for going green and decided to wait it out until my order was ready. When they called my name I asked what the "Go green" charge was for. "It's for the biodegradable container. Ohhhhh...The food is tasty, I'll give you that, There needs to be more of it and some sort of advisement of the "extra charges" for brown rice and going green.

This isn't a bad place if you are into Hawaiian style Mexican food. The service can be slightly rude sometimes, but there are also very nice people here as well. You can find this place right off Ward Blvd, and has a clean atmosphere. I would really like to see a designation for this type of food like Hawaii-Mex so those who seek these flavors can find it and those who seek more traditional Mexican flavors won't get confused or frustrated.

Great place for cheap tacos: I moved here from Texas, it's not Tex-Mex, but it's got great service and good food for under $10.00
