Delicious Afghani food. The kabobs are very tender. Great service.
Great food and service!: The chicken and beef kabobs are excellent. The salmon and lamb are very tasty. The chutneys add the right type of spice to your foods. The flavors to all of the foods wake up all of your taste buds. The appetizers are also very delicious and there are also wonderful desserts if you have room. On certain evenings of the month. there are bellydancers that perform around the dining area. Overall a great place to be to enjoy some great food with a wonderful staff.
My husband recently took me to Amir's for my birthday. I was put off by the look of the outside at first; it seemed like a "hole in the wall" to me. But upon stepping inside, I realized I was completely wrong. The restaurant is elegantly decorated, with relaxing music playing in the background. The server was polite and attentive. The food was, for the most part, excellent. I has the shornakhad, a sort of soup made from potatoes and chickpeas in a spicy cilantro sauce. It was delicious, and immediately made me want to replicate it at home. My husband had the aush, a creamy vegetable soup that was warm, filling and delightful. My husband had the chicken kebabs, and I had the lamb. I loved my dish, but when my husband gave me a bite of his chicken, I thought it was a bit bland. We both got the same delicious rice pallow, though. The only part of the meal I really didn't like was the naan. It was quite a bit different from what I've had at other middle eastern restaurants, and tasted just like plain, dry, white toast. But everything else was lovely. I would certainly go again anytime.

I agree with most of this comment, but I would liek to add that we received a small amount of meet pulled from the skewer. The dish was mostly rice. A lot more rice than U expected for a dish that cost $15.99. Either way everything was good, and the staff were great. One last thing. They dropped bread and water on the table with when we arrived, and then charged us for it. The menu did say unlimited bread for X amount, but know one gave us the choice. That is the only complaint. I would like to choose if we want to order.
