User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love the Gondola Italian Restaurant. Wonderful place to eat, nice relaxing atmosphere and a lot of food for the money. Very friendly wait-staff. Owner is very courteous and welcoming. Well run restaurant. Mount Airy has a lot to offer and this restaurant is one of the best. They are located at 101 West Lebanon Street. Their phone number is 336-786-7520. Give them a try, I promise you will not leave disappointed nor hungry. It will become a favorite to you and your family, too.

Stopped at Gondola on our way back from vacation and very glad we did. There were 9 of us and we had no problems w/seating or service. The food was EXCELLENT and we all enjoyed our meals - ranging from chicken parmegan to stromboli to chicken wings etc... No one was disappointed and we even were given a free sample desert. We will be stopping again the next time we are through!!

My family had enjoyed going to Gondolas up until the past weekend. We love the food and had loved the service and friendliness of the staff and owner. I had actually gone to school with one of the staff and had enjoyed her service in the past and unknowingly offended her in someway as she refused my family service even though we were sitting in her area. We overheard the conversation that she loudly had with the owner and other wait staff about my supposed insult (I told her what my profession is at this time and the fact that I enjoyed what I am doing with my life without her asking and also we left her and the other server a large tip). If we heard her other patrons also heard her. I am sorry to say that we will never return because of this one staff member and her attitude and that is really sad because we really enjoyed the restaurant and the fact that the owner was very friendly to all of the patrons especially our children. I give the food a 5 star rating and the service a 1 and a half.
