El Greco

I love Greek food, but I have to agree with some of the other reviews that at times (most of the time) the food at El Greco is not top quality and service has been lacking. Last time I was there was at an army hail and fairwell, in which the waitress WAS rude because some of us in attendance did not get the email with the 3 options for meals. At current H & F we even joke about how we hope not to get yelled at again by our waitress.
Then I ordered the dolmas and the last two times I have had them the rice is under cooked and hard. Also the "salad" that comes with the meal is nothing more then shredded lettuce drowned in white vinegar...gross.
Anyways, sad as it it this is the only option in town for Greek food and I hope that when we PCS we will have better options for Greek food with better service.

Ok after reading all the comments it is easy to see many of the comments are rigged. Probably by the owner, family, or friends of the family. This place is located next to a cheap motel where unsuspecting, hungry tourist will spend money without a clue.

Most of the time the only cars parked out front are only the cook and the waiter. Now get off your duff and don't get stung. If you don't give a rip, then sit down and enjoy the meal. Plenty of European propaganda written about this place. I had the expensive sampler platter. Only 25% of the plate is good. The rest is difficult to swallow. I eat out twice a day in Lawton for the past 40 years and know better. They may be nice people running the eatery but that is no excuse to feel sorry for them and write about the fine food and wine. It is BS!

I totally disagree with Tom S. I have been to el greco a lot of times and I have never had the impression that the food was pre-cooked the day prior. The food has always been excellent, the waiters have always been very kind and efficient. The place is always cleaned and pleasant! Nobody can put in discussion the service....and believe me I'm very picky about that! Try the greek salad, the feta cheese is incredible! I've tried many dishes and I've always been satisfied! El greco restaurant is perfect for all those who want to enjoy great savory food, maybe accompanied by a good glass of wine!
