User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy husband & I have been wanting a chance to go eat at our neice's "Family Named "Restraunt for some time. We finally got a chance a couple weeks ago. The food, atmosphere, & family were all wonderful. Thanks for a delicious lunch! We hope to get a chance in the near future to visit again. Thanks for putting to use what you learned growing up.

Glad the other restaurants were closed on Sunday!
Landrum and Tryon restaurants were largely closed on Sunday and we'd built up powerful appetite after a hike. We were happy to find The Drake House was open and decided to give it a try. From the moment we entered the door we were completely charmed. The structure of the individual rooms in the former dwelling seems to have been maintained creating intimate areas with just a few tables making you feel you are at home. Then there's the fabulous buffet we fell in on. EVERYTHING was delicious and homemade-tasting-good! We were so glad the other restaurant we were aiming for was closed! Can't wait to go back. 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBrunch at the Drake House: The Drake House is a small restaurant in a traditional southern home and serves the very best Southern foods in their Sunday brunch buffet. We can't get enough of it - even the fried okra is fresh, not that frozen stuff! And the shrimp and grits - to die for!
