Was dealing with Greenway Ford- Veterans Big Brother store for a 10 Shelby GT. Veterans had the car but Greenway was selling the car. I did some research and found that Veterans had it for sure and 2 others. Got there and nobody would help us. Then Nelson a salesman there stated he couldn't show the car cause it was being sold to a customer at Greenway. I told him I was the customer and Greenway would not tell me where the car was coming from, just that they had one about 100 miles away. After discussion with Nelson and manager Jerry I was able to see my car before it went to Greenway the next morning for my delivery. After discussion it was determined the veterans ford wanted to sell my the car but couldn't sell it me unless I cancelled my deal with Greenway Ford. I told them with my trade and paying sticker on this car my OTD was $58900. They said that's fine just cancel the deal and wait 24hrs till Monday and we will make it right. I waited and cancelled with Greenway. Monday comes and I have to call them to find out the status of the deal. After about 6 hours he (Nelson) gets back to me at $62000 OTD. I was furious that I passed up a better deal with Greenway Ford. So I could get screwed over by Nelson & Jerry @ Veterans Ford. Never will I do business with shady salesman & managers. Good luck to others.

My wife & I decided it was time to trade in our 2004 Ford F350. We were very happy with the truck but the only trouble was my wife after having double hip replacement surgery was unable to get into or get anything out of the bed. After looking at the Toyota Tundra we decided to look at the new Ford F250. After reading an ad we decided to go to Veterans Ford. We told the Salesman Kelly we were interested in a new F250 because of the difficulty my wife had getting in & out of small vehicles & the steps & handles on the larger trucks make it so much easier. Additionally we really wanted a tailgate step & they were only available on F250 & above. Kelly then told us it was now available on the F150 which he took us to see & F150 & demonstrated the tailgate step. The only trouble was the fixed steps on the F150 are placed so close to the rocker panel you could barely place your toe on the step. We were then shown an F150 Platinum which had Powered steps that came down when the door was opened. Perfect height & down away from the truck body. I asked what the truck was equipped with & Kelly said it had all options available except for GPS or a sunroof. The salesman Kelly led us to believe we purchased a truck with a tailgate step & after the purchase was complete & we were putting things in our new truck when we discovered NO TAILGATE STEP. When I asked about it Kelly told us it was not an option on the Platinum model since it was not considered a work truck & since Veterans Ford could not provide us with a sales brochure how were we to know any different. We bought the truck on Saturday June 27 2009, the following Monday June 29 I went into the dealership & spoke with Ivey Thigpen a sales manager, I told him that after checking the internet I discovered we were lied to & this was a deal breaker he replied that he would see what he could do to add the step & would contact me in a couple of days ANOTHER LIE on Friday July 10th
after nearly two weeks of unreturned phone calls I finally reached Ivey & was told it was too expensive to add the step & they were not going to do anything about it. I then went into the dealership on Saturday July 11th exactly two weeks after purchase & spoke with Jerry Jacks another sales manager & was told he understands why I am upset but he was just an employee & there was nothing he could do, I told him I wanted to speak with the owner, my name & number was taken & was told I would soon be contacted. I asked Jerry would it be another two weeks of no calls & was told OH NO I will personally take charge of this matter & make sure you are contacted ANOTHER LIE. I also received a call from Ford Customer Care & was told they would request the dealer owner contact us. I still have not received any response from the owner but on July 27th I received a phone call from Jerry Jacks after he read my comments sent on the survey card from Ford, just to say he already told me there is nothing he could do, so why should he call me back? I reminded him he was supposed to ensure the owner contacted me to which he replied I gave your info to the receptionist & if he didn’t call me it’s not my fault. On July 29th I spoke with an executive from Ford’s Executive Offices who placed a call on my behalf & the top manager they could reach was Ivey Thigpen who told them if I want the tailgate step I would have pay $2,000.00 to have it installed & no one else will be contacting me. Great customer service a person with a handicap comes in to buy a vehicle to meet their special needs & thinks they did & when they discover they were bated & switched they’re stone walled & can’t even talk to the owner.

Called for a part for a 1998 Ford Explorer. First price quoted was $60 for a pair of back window lift assembly. Called the Bill Curry Ford dealer and was quoted $94.40. So I called back to order them from the Veterans Ford dealer and told their parts person the price I was quoted from Bill Curry and then he said he could beat that price and it would be $80. I asked "What happened to the $60 for the pair first price quote?" He said "OH, I quoted you the wrong price." Ya NO!

What they do not want to tell you is that an 98 ford explorer two door and the 98 ford explorer four door is the exact same back window assembly that I found at Carquest parts store for $48.78 listed under the four door explorer.

The guy was really nice even though he tried to get me for another $20 more. At least that was the only helpful information given to me allowing me to purchase them from Carquest.

    IT PAYS TO ASK QUESTIONS!!
