Definitely the best restaurant in Wilkes-Barre. My son just graduated from King's college and we had his graduation dinner here. Everyone agreed the food and ambiance was excellent. Tuna and Coconut Shrimp appetizers were the best I've had, better than restaurants we frequent in Philadelphia and New York. Delmonico Steak was huge and done perfectly, Cork salad was fresh and delicious and the Crab Cakes were all lump crab meat, no filler, would highly recommend that dinner. Everyone raved and we were glad we chose to have the dinner at this restaurant. Don't miss the midnight espresso and pomegranite martinis.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. Have dined there on several occasions, food is always fresh and delicious. My friends and I are now enjoying dinners on the outdoor patio, which seems like something you'd find in a tropical vacation spot. Quite, cozy and unique. We really love the coconut shrimp appetizers, the jumbo lump crab cakes, the cork salad and the delmonico steaks. WE all highly recommend cork.
Very disappointing.
I read some great reviews of this place and will say that it is quite a cozy and comfortable restaurant. My husband and I dine out often, and, mostly at fine dining restaurants. We were both excited to come here and try the food. we made reservations on a Friday night last week and we both felt the food was far from fresh and very bland. The grilled portobello appetizer had no mushroom flavor and the "fresh" mozzarella tasted "off". The soup was thick and flavorless. The salad was a tiny plate of iceberg and the dressings were your typical store bought collection. I am always leery of a place that sells ranch dressing. The salmon was lifeless and I'll bet frozen. My husband's steak was mostly fat and grizzle, Their website touts "prime aged beef". It is neither. the service was very pleasant but I think our server was as confused as us about the menu. I will admit that we both are very finicky about food and too judgemental, but there are plenty of good restaurants around that serve fresh food and serve it well. At Cork I couldn't even enjoy the stale coffee after our meal. I don't write many restaurant reviews but I felt especially disappointed here and needed to share with other foodies.
