Curry Hyundai, located at 3026 East Main St., Cortlandt Manor, NY, is a fine place to look for and then purchase or lease a Hyundai vehicle. The showroom is part of a complex of other brand showrooms including Nissan and Subaru cars.
Salespeople seem dedicated to specific brands, however, but cross-shopping is easy because several manufacturers are represented steps apart.
There is a common service and parts department that serves all of the products sold at this location.
My wife and I were walk-ins at the Hyundai showroom. We were greeted by sales consultant Ronald Stewart who told us that his specialty Hyundai models were Azera and Genesis, both high-end Hyundai products in the American market.
As these were the models that we expressed interest in, Ron helped us in many ways that were expected. There were pleasant surprises, non earth shaking, but reassuring in that it was clear that Ron knew his products and represented them well. From the start, he appeared interested in our getting the best fit for our needs and wants.
While it may seem almost ridiculous, we did not obtain online quotes from dealers including Curry. Continuing the admitted lack of buyer due diligence, we did not visit competing Hyundai dealers. Somehow, we wanted to stick with Ron because he worked for us in getting what we believed would be the best deal on a leftover 2009 Azera without the optional navigation system. Curry did not have a car in stock that we would consider, so the search was on. It took several weeks, but we finally had a car equipped as we wanted it and even painted in a color that we found pleasing.
While there are many outstanding automobile salesmen and women, we had a special attachment to Ron and it seemed natural that he alone would sell us a Hyundai.
We are pleased with the car and with the price that we paid. It was not a giveaway, but it was fair. We traded a vehicle and while everyone expects to get more for his ten-year old car, the value was within our expectations.
This dealership is worth visiting if you are considering buying or leasing a Hyundai. You may opt to take the traditional route of comparative shopping, but at least stop by, especially if you live not all that far away. Having a nearby dealership is a good thing, especially when the warranty period is long and you know that if you're a customer, you may get that special treatment that we hope to get where ever we go.
