User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBlue River Construction designed and remodeled our kitchen in our mountain cabin outside of Bakersfield. They built us beautiful custom cabinetry and designed a well functioning kitchen in a small space. Their work was exceptional and they did everything they said they would do (which we have learned is rare). We have been remodeling this cabin for several years and have dealt with many contractors. Blue River Construction has been the easiest to deal with and made the experience less stressful than any of our other projects. We love our new kitchen and plan to use Blue River Construction again.

This company is worse than awful. I came to them looking for some remodeling, and they came out and did an estimate for me. Everything looked good, but something was missing. When I figured it out, it was the labor charge. As soon as I got that, I was almost knocked away with how much they wanted!!! My labor was nearly triple the material, and we're only talking about 20 square feet of area I have in my little 1000 sq ft house. Needless to say, I went with another company who came out and gave an estimate of their material and labor, and it was more than half of the first one I received. Both companies are bonded an insured, licensed, and the whole nine yards. So, why pay more? I am very pleased with my decision, and I used the money I saved from my first bid to take my family on a well deserved vacation while the construction was going on in my house.
