Behan, Glenn DVM - Barnegat Animal Clinic

Dr. Behan is one of the best vet's that I have come across in a long time. At one time in my life I had 4 dogs and 4cats. (now 4cats 1dog) the compassion he shows and the time spent is wonderful. Never rushed, never unnecessary test preformed.... Everyone at Barnegat Animal Clinic is great I'm thankful that I found them.....

It took a long time to find Dr. Behan and Barnegat Animal Clinic! Both he and the staff are friendly, compassionate and professional. My dog, Trouble, has had a multitude of different "issues" since she was a puppy. My previous vet always lumped all her symptoms together and treated her with the same medication repeatedly( did nothing ), same tests, no resolution and big bills! Frankly, I don't think he was really even listening half the time! Someone recommended Dr. Behan and from day one I knew he was different. He listened to everything I had to say and treated each symptom on it's own without costly, invasive, trial and error procedures. I never felt rushed during our visits, though I know what a busy schedule he always has. Recently, we brought Trouble in for routine Heartworm testing, during which we told Dr. BEhan about various weird "habits" Trouble had suddenly developed as well as her seemingly depressed attitude(totally uncharacteristic of a Cairn Terrier). Based on that conversation with us, Dr. Behan did some additional specific testing on her blood which confirmed that she was suffering from Cushings Disease (although she is still on the young side for developing the disease). Another vet may not have done the testing, but Dr. Behan LISTENED to the things we described. I was understandably distraught and Dr. Behan was compassionate and informative, talking us through each phase of treatment (and continues to do so), assuring us that with diligence on his part and ours, Trouble could live out the remainder of her life normally. Because of his attention, we were able to catch the disease in it's early stages. I know her life is in the best hands it could be in and I'm so thankful to him for caring for her and putting up with us, LOL! Simply, Glen Behan is the kind of vet that EVERYONE wishes they had and the staff at Barnegat Clinic are the BEST!! For as long as I own a pet (which will be 4 ever), this is where I will be!

5 STARS to Dr. Behan, and Dawn! We drove 4 hours each way from Connecticut for our Rex's surgery. The care and attention was wonderful, forget the rest, go to the best! Thank you Dawn and Dr. Behan!
