User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThis Childcare Center is very nice and my niece who attends has learned a lot from her teachers. The teaching staff has seemed to be a good one since she's been there. Hats of to some of the greatest teachers like Mrs. Pope and the other Mrs. Pope, Mrs. McKnight, Mrs. Lavender, Mrs. Russell and the director, Mrs. Calloway. However the staff who work that front desk!!!!! OMG the owners need to get rid of them mainly speaking Mrs. Jackson. She is first of all extremely rude and she is a liar. Bright Star is suppose to be a center with Christian based values. If the owners dont get that front desk staff together they are going to lose a lot of students. Parents trust their children to these people. At least the staff can do is respect them and be genuinely interested in parents concerns. Ms. Jackson blows parents off, is extremely sarcastic, she lies to them, and she is very very rude. I wish Mrs. Torres was still there. Back then everything was super nice. I left with a comfortable feeling everyday when I left my niece. Now, I wish her mother would take her out. One final note, a couple of the employees have had criminal charges (let me make it clear, NOT SEXUAL) but charges where perhaps the employer should have thought twice about giving them a job around children. I dont want my child's teacher to have drug charges, obstruction charges, theft, or even disorderly conduct charges. I just dont think it sets a good example for the kids nor is it something that should be a part of the Christian based atmosphere Bright Star is about.

We love the center. We have been at the center for six months. The new administration is great and helpful. The teachers are friendly and creative. There are few great centers in the area and this is one of them. Go see for yourself.

My child has attended this daycare for about a year. During my first initial inspection and the first part of the year my child loved it there. Now my child is always ready to leave or stay at home. My child has complained about the food. So I being a parent checked out the menu(yogurt, fruit and milk). We aren't vegetarians and that isn't a rounded meal. For the payments that we(parents/guardians) make, you can't say the budget is blown. The meals were more organized than this. The staff was very professional. I am not understanding why so many turnovers in staff. This doesn't give you as a parent enough time to find out how the person caring for your child bonds with each other while you work. I have seen more than 10 teachers for my childs room and the front desk staff has changed out more than 5 along with at least 3 directors. So can some one please tell me where is the problem? I know in today's economy I know good help isn't that hard to find or is it???????????

I will tell you that as being a former teacher at this place of why there is such a turnover. Like you said good he;lp is hard to find but the good teachers they do have they treat them like garbage.hint the reason i no longer work there. they wil work u to death and no break don't get me wrong we love the children but even we need a 15 min break durning the day even as a parent u need a break from your children. We do become attached to the children but are never in our classroom.we get pulled out and put somewhere else. There is so much gossip and caddiness that goes on. And since the front staff has changed the whole center has too. They talk about people more then the teachers do. They nit pick and try to make u quit. The pay really isn't all that great but we do it for the children. The front staff up front to me seems to be rude and not very approchable...not to mention my children no longer go there and will never go back...I will not say the reason y just for the simple fact that they will know who i am.
I will keep it short. Not only is the turnover rate high. But this is a very unsafe place. Many children have been injured at this daycare. (broken leg in two places, tooth knocked out, bookcase fell on child---to name a few). Dont be fooled by the inside/outside of this daycare. The facility is nice BUT after my daughter kept getting injured, I wouldn't leave my dog at this daycare and your child is better left home alone. Also, contact the state of georgia for a list of "all" complaints. 1-888-442-7735 Complaints are removed after a period of time but should be on file. I filed a complaint 2/07 and it's no longer posted and I have reviewed other complaints that have been removed as well. I THINK they stay posted for a year or less. PLEASE! PLEASE! Investigate this school through the state before sending your kids!
