My girlfriend met me in San Angelo for the Holliday season She travelled from oakland CA. home of some exceptional mexican food. I traveled from Pennsylvania to revisit my home away from home. I had not been bck to San Angelo since 1987 and was terrified about the restaurant scene over the last 20 years. I work as a chef in the industry and figured I would have to search for day's through local opinion and my own expectations for some incredible home cooked food. My very wise and insistant mother told me about Nacho's! My very matter of fact assured about TexMex grandmother who has spent the last 35 plus years in the San Angelo area reminded me she had raised no fool! Buffet's I generally stay away from being a chef... WOW! Genuine comfort food for all locals, tourista's and even Pennsylvanian's! Simon sayz! Have another plate! Anyone who feels like they should send me a plate of Nacho's work You can reach me @ airportjunkie@Hotmail.com I'm trying to mimic the short or small rib mole' flavor I got authentically in Tejas. My only regret is that I didn't have enough time to study the menu and had such a short time to be in town or even check out the option of gift certificate/card idea. Real kitchen cooked home flavor convenietly located. It may look like a mini strip business joint but check out the feel. Real ambience and real people there as well! I really liked it. The free chips came not only with salsa but a delicious beans, cheese, & salsa mix. The wait staff were really nice and the owner was also nice! Good food.

no.1 stop!: since me and my husband no longer eat at what used to be our favorite diner when we visited san angelo,we were searching all over san angelo, and have found the most truely delicious place!, even the beans and rice are excellant!my kids even eat everything on there plates! my compliments to the owner and staff,dont change a thing !
