User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsQuite possibly the best kolaches I've had in recent memory. Ms. Powers, the owner, always has an amazing selection of flavors- everything from traditional poppy seed and fruit fillings to exotics like key lime, German chocolate cake, and pumpkin pie. She is more than happy to talk to visitors about kolaches and the lesser-known klobashnikies, her recipes, and you may learn a little about Czech heritage too.
Residents of College Station probably know Kolache Rolf's is a good, everyday bakery, but for a treat go to Zamykal. One word of caution: hardly anything opens before noon in Calvert on Sundays, so Saturday is a better day to go.
