As a follow up to my first review, after nearly a month, three letters and countless e-mails to the correct departments, after a month I get an e-mail stating that the account had been audited and the amount was now reduced from 4367.00 to 2605.50 with not even an attempt at an explaination, this amount was then sent to the same collection agency while at the same time sending me an e-mail stating that the claim had just "that day" been billed to the insurance company on August 13th, in other words, this account was not even a day old yet and they were updating the collection agency after admitting they had never billed insurance. Furthermore, after visiting the office I discover through talking to the office manager that this amount is the amount owed by me AFTER they billed the insurance company! This was never agreed upon or signed for. There are three main parts to this scam operation, the office, corporate, and billing. Make no mistake here, non of the individual parties knows what any of the others are doing or why. My strongest advice is to take your business, and your mental health to a small, "non-corporate" family dental office where the people you see, are the only people you will ever have to deal with, corporations believe that they can walk all over you and not have to answer for it. Unfortunately, their behavior has to be controlled by us, by not supporting terrible misleading fraudulent service that appears to be supported or even led by the corporate office. Strong words, but I now seem to have thousands of reasons to believe it. Choose wisely, choose small, where people care.

These reviews are bogus... Sad to say, but true. I know for a fact that Smilecare accepts EVERY type of insurance there is. My experience at Smilecare was very different. They did recommend procedures to me, however when I declined their recommendations, that was that. I was treated wonderfully, had an amazing exam by a very gentile doctor, and the whole thing was covered by my insurance company.

Happy, I was just like you for 9 years, not even a hitch, I'll never again put myself in the position to have this happen to me, me and my family are out after 9 years, the office people are delightful, when corporate and billing screw up, you are on your own! The office will act like they don't know what is going on and no one seems to even care that you been there for 9 years! Good luck.

Horrible place. They said my insurance will cover my exam and that i would have to pay $1000 out of pocket. When I asked them to tell me why it came out to so much they told me they were going to do a super cleaning and give me a special tooth past and tooth brush. I didnt ask for any of this. I left the office, only getting the exam and x rays. When I got the bill later I had to pay $300 dollars out of pocket for the exam and x rays because it was more then the procedure cost my insurance covers. They lied to me about my out of pocket expenses and they tried to rip me off.
