User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe LOVE the FRESH HOUSE!!! The employees are always very nice and helpful and the food is AWESOME. If you want some exceptional food, this is the place to go! The country store is filled with all kinds of really neat stuff and I can't say enough about the fudge and home made desserts. It is definitely worth the trip to Locust - especially for the chicken and dumplins!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAte at the Fresh House yesterday. It was great. Had the homemade chicken salad on the homemade croisant and the loaded bake potato soup. I live close by, so this is often the choice for those special family days or to take the boss for lunch when he/she comes visiting. Always good food and friendly service. Try to save room for homemade ice cream for desert and pick up some cookies for the road.

Six people ate six different things and everyone said it was wonderful. The homemade ice cream is incredible. Fried pickles and fried green beans were new for several of us and they were both sinfully good. It was nearly impossible to decide what to eat and the plans for a return trip were being made before we left the table. Well worth the drive.
