I have eaten at Fishtales several times and have enjoyed it every time. It's a very relaxing pleasant experience the ambience is always just right the service is phenomenal and the food is something out of this world! One thing that truly grabbed my attention was the cleanliness of the restaurant as well as the fact that the owner was walking around and interacting with the customers it seemed to be a very calm close environment for the staff as well as the customer. The last time we went I choose to try one of the specials my waitress so pleasantly offered me; it was a perfectly broiled piece of Chilean Sea bass with huge pieces of jumbo lump crab meat on top smothered on a white wine and garlic sauce and served along side asparagus that seemed to be cooked just right. Unlike ED B my soup of choice was a velvety delicious Crab Bisque my husband indulged in a fresh salad with Vidalia Vinaigrette which was different but, of course delicious. I am positive who ever dines at Fishtales will have a pleasant dining experience.
this is in regards to eddie b's review. I happen to stumble across this review and this is so far from truth that it makes me sick. how someone could even try to damage the reputation of the owner who puts in more than 100 hours a week and takes pride in everything he makes. I have been a customer since day one and eat there at least once a week and never had a bad meal. you could not ask for anything fresher that comes out of thier kitchen. I just had to comment on his comment how any one would try to destroy a persons livelyhood!!!!!
This is in reference to the last post by Eddie B. First of all I am a chef and a graduate from Johnson and Wales University. I have eaten at fishtales on more then one occasion and it has been nothing but fabulous every time. I have eaten all of their homemade soups and they are all fabulous and full of flavor. The crab bisque is actually the best I think I have ever had. The atmosphere there is fabulous especially the brand new outside patio. Not only is the food amazing but the eclectic atmosphere of the outside dinning facility is the perfect edition to fishtales. This family owned restaurant really has what I like to call the âIt factorâ It has the food, pleasant staff, and perfect ambience.
I would pay no attention to the post by Eddie B. I actually know quality food and service since I have received my degree in this specific field. This place is a truly great restaurant. Eddie seems to be just one of the jerks who needs on finding something to complain about so he can try and get something for free. The staff there is nothing but a pleasure to deal with and the fact that you left $4 just goes to show that he is cheap. I think Mr. Eddie B just needed to find a way to say a buck.
I high recommend that anyone in the area take the time out to visit this restaurant. I would suggest ordering either the tuna (rare of course) or the crab cakes.

Umm...I'm not defending EddieB on anything he wrote as I've never visited Fishtales, however, $4 is practically 20% of the bill - if the service was really as poor as he says it was, i'd say he over-tipped. AS a former server in a fine-dining BYOB establishment, if you're a server and expecting 20% on every tip, it's time to come back to reality (unless you work in a fine-dining establishing where 20% might be an expectation).
