This was a big disappointment. I was really looking forward to trying this place, so I took my mother for a treat. The food was disappointing. My mother specifically asked the waitress if the food came with pepper as so many foods in so many restaurants are extremely "spicy" and she can't have black or red pepper among other things. She was assured it was fine. When it came, she couldn't eat it at all, and even I, who have a high tolerance for spicy food, thought it was a bit much. We had to send request clean silverware, and clean water glasses as what we were given were far from acceptable. You'd think that would make them pay a bit more attention, but when I ordered a cup of tea, I had to send that back as well. The cup was filthy. I wouldn't go back to this place for any reason.
I'm thinking about starting a boycott of this chain--first off, there is NO reason so have such massive servings...all of the waste from food to plastic bags and plastic containers--no one leaves this restaurant without at least one "doggie bag". Beyond that, you would think that a suburban chain alleged to be a family restaurant would be kid-friendly--not at ALL. There is no kids menu, so we ordered the mac&cheese side order which came as penne pasta with lots of pepper--fine for adults, but perhaps the waitress could have mentioned this when we ordered it for our 2 year old. And when I asked if they could throw some peas or broccoli in it, our snippy waitress said we'd have to be charged for another item. Seriously?--a handful of green to offer SOMETHING healthy for kids???? Anyhow, we decided to order another "kids menu" (though not actually on the menu) item that our waitress told us about--chicken fingers and fries--basically, restaurant junk food. For $9.95, she dropped off a huge bowl of fried chicken tenders with an equally huge bowl of the saltiest french fries I've ever seen. Gross, gross gross. So we each got an unnecessarily enormous plate of food for $14 or so and our 2 year old ate a few bites of non-kid-friendly mac & cheese and fried junk that they charged us over $15 for--NO WAY. Boycott.
It was cheesecake day and the slices were $1.50 per slice in advertisement. When we got to the cheesecake factory, we had to eat a meal in order to get this deal. I think that is the most pothetic thing a food restaurant can make. We just had dinner and just wanted to enjoy a slice of cake. We then left the restaurant. Don't be fooled by the ads for this food company. They know how to fool people. They also suck on having food menus for children. Again, another way of ripping people off for their money.
