I was there in October 2008 and the parking traffic was the absolute worse that I have ever seen at a large scale venue. It took over an hour to get out of the parking lot after the event was over. This is very unfortunate since the arena itself is very nice. It could be a excellent facility if they could only have better parking and traffic planning.
Loretta Lynn Concert 04/21/07: The concert was awesome just as our Loretta always is.....she just keeps gettin' better an better!! The Gwinnet Arena was awesome too, easy in and out, very pleasant place to be, I am proud to have it here and not in the middle of Atlanta!!
Manheim Steamroller at the Arena...Excellent!: I saw Manheim Steamrollers' Christmas concert at the Gwinnett Arena last night (Tuesday, December 12), and it was fantastic. The arena is beautiful and clean, the seats were comfortable and the staff was very pleasant. The traffic, however, was horrendous! It took us over an hour to negotiate traffic in and out of the arena parking lot...PLUS...we had to park over a half a mile with no shuttle to ease the walk. Handicap parking was gone almost immediately. All in all, the experience was very satisfying, and we will most definitely return to the arena, despite the cost of the tickets and the traffic congestion... we will just leave an hour early!
