    I've been to Voodoo Lounge several times before and have had a good time, but after my last visit I will not be returning. I was with a large group for a birthday party and they would not let me enter because apparently Chuck Taylor shoes are not dressy enough (even though I consider them fairly nice sneakers). Come on, it's a night club in a casino in Kansas City! And it's not like I was wearing a pair of gym shoes! Anyhow, if you don't want to go dressed in work clothing I'd recommend going someplace else.

    Had a great time at the New Year's Eve party. Be prepared to wait 20 minutes for a drink though, there were understaffed with bartenders. I was hoping some of the nearly naked performers would start serving some drinks. For $18, you can get the witch's brew, a bunch of liquor in a huge margarita glass. The dance music is *very* loud, so don't expect to have a conversation. The "VIP" area is a little cheesey - come on folks this is Kansas City, not Vegas.
