I went to maui twice and I stayed in Kannapali and once in wailuku- I love this restraunt- although one server is deaf, he probably is trying his best to serve and he has always been taken advantage of- so that explains the most recent comment- he is truly loyal and dedicated to his business and possibly represented it wrongly or accordingly- I personally think the food is beyond the menu and the servers are really nice- this is good to go if you plan to kickback and enjoy with abundant of time. The restraunt is clean, beautiful and amazing environment. I would definitely recccomend it and I do reccommend calling ahead of time with bigger group/s- If you meet the manager and the business owner- they are extremely friendly.
Cool place: My friends and I are always looking for new and different places to eat and hang out after work; somewhere close to our offices. Unisan is a cool place just for that. The food is great and reasonable too and the sushi is awesome! I went there for lunch last week and they have a bento plate that I love for only $8 and it's very filling. Tempura, kal-bi, chicken katsu, mac salad and rice. I believe the dinner prices are a little bit more expensive. The only down side that I heard of is that at night, the service is really slow. A girlfriend of mine was there and the service was so slow, a group of people walked out without paying, even after they put in their order. Personally, I think it's a great place to get together after work, have some drinks and pupus. The location is so convenient for the business around here and the owners are really cool too!

I went for dinner the other night at 6pm. We had a group of about ten, and two of them had to catch a flight at 10pm. Well, not only did it take over two hours to get the food, one of my friends still had to ask for his meal "to go." The slow service wasn't the worst part though... we had the rudest, nastiest server who was as unpleasant as any person I've ever met. He never once apologized for the slow service, despite multiple chances to do so, forgot orders, was dismissive of our pleas about the flight our friends were trying to catch. And the last straw was that he automatically added a 20% tip to our bill at the end of the evening and CHASED us out of the restaurant to start a fight because we didn't give him the full tip. His service DID NOT warrant any tip at all even though we gave him over 10% anyway. I would never eat here again and would recommend against it strongly for others. My group of friends all work in the service industry and will pass the negative word on to all of our customers as well. Word of mouth can hurt and this guy did not represent this restaurant well at all.
