Girlfriend, her small son and I stopped by for lunch. The waitress was standoffish and not attentive at all; she also reached over my plates to refill my tea. We ordered seasonal grilled veg, my impression was that they'd be hot -they weren't; all cold. Came with small tomatoes (seemed to have thousand island on them) they were good, small piece of goat cheese, good, artichokes (canned/jarred) beets (canned/jarred, but cut into nice slender pieces) and stringbeans which were hard. Ordered hummas ( topped with canned olives) was ok. Friends son ordered mex pizza (special) gross. Was tacobellish. We ordered the burgers, bacon was generous and very good. Burgers were burnt/charred. Another waitress was helping our original (not sure if they tagteam?) but she was an odd one. Not sure if she was new or just weird...Overall would NOT recommend. Food was lame, prices were high, service was subpar...go elsewhere!
I was pleasantly surprised by what a good food town St. Louis was during a recent trip. Mosaic was the best- for food and wine. The Za'Atar lamb was stunning. They had several good Rhones and Shirazes to go with it and I sampled a couple. Prices are reasonable, too. Just make sure to sit outside because Missouri is apparently one of the few states that still allows smoking indoors.
I appreciate the lower-cal naked chicken sandwich being on the menu. Ordered it without bread or garnish and it was a great selection to stay on a lighter eating regimen. Next time I'll also tell them to hold the fries.
