Company Information: Rightly named so by the people in the local theater community, the Lyric Stage Company has seen a humble beginning. The path to its success has been long, but it has seen work from notable playwrights. This Boston landmark is worth a visit for theater lovers traveling to this part of the city. It has 240 seats and many awards under it's belt. The shows over here range from overseas to local in origin; in format they cover everything from romantic comedies to dramas.

   This stage company is brilliant, due in large part to Spiro Veloudos, the producing artistic director. He is gifted both with the rare combination of (1) a great "eye" for what works and what doesn't and a passion for quality, and (2) a shining ability to motivate cast and crew alike to the point both of sharing his aforementioned passion, as well as adding their own great creativity and talent to each production. We have subscribed for several years, and have found something wonderful in each and every production.
