| About: | Directions: FROM THE EAST/WEST: Take I-64 to exit 118B (Culpeper-Charlottesville). Take third exit (Leonard Sandridge Road). Continue straight and after the second signal (Copeley Road), the John Paul Jones Arena will be on your left. FROM THE NORTH: Take Route 29 south into Charlottesville (Emmet Street). Continue on 29 South Business (Emmet Street) past the exit for the 29/250 bypass. Turn right on Massie Road and the John Paul Jones Arena will be on the right. FROM THE SOUTH: Take Route 29 to the Leonard Sandridge Road exit. Continue straight and after the second signal (Copeley Road), the John Paul Jones Arena will be on your left. Parking: Men's Basketball Parking Parking available on a first come first serve basis at The Park behind the UVA Law School and also in the North Grounds Parking lot which is located in front of the UVA Law School. Both of these are a park and walk area with the exception of The Park where a shuttle bus to and from the game is available. Directions to UVA Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage ??? Utilize exit 118B off Interstate 64 and travel toward Charlottesville on the 29/250 Bypass. Take second exit onto Route 250 Business East. Turn right at the top of the exit. Turn left at third traffic signal into garage entrance. Directions to Central Grounds Garage ??? Utilize exit 118B off Interstate 64 and travel toward Charlottesville on the 29/250 Bypass. Take second exit onto Route 250 Business East. Turn right at the top of the exit. Turn right onto Emmet Street at fourth traffic signal, travel 2 blocks, turn left into the Central Grounds Garage. Women's Basketball Parking Complimentary parking is available in the surface lot in front of the John Paul Jones Arena on a first-come, first-served basis for all women???s basketball games. Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, excluding University holidays. On basketball game days, ticket windows at the John Paul Jones Arena open 1.5 hours prior to tip off. Types of Payment Accepted: Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express Will Call: Game day will call is distributed at the ticket windows to the left of the front entrance doors beginning 1.5 hours prior to tip off. Photo ID required. Accessible Seating: Accessible seating located along the sidelines and behind the basket throughout the whole arena. Patrons requiring accessible seating should inquire with the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office. General Rules: University of Virginia basketball should be an enjoyable experience for all guests. Video cameras are not allowed inside the stadium. - All gates open 1.5 hours prior to tip-off. - Prohibited items at John Paul Jones Arena include, but are not limited to: ??? Horns, whistles or artificial noisemakers of any kind ??? Alcoholic beverages ??? Bags and Backpacks ??? Balls of any type ??? Containers (i.e. bottled water, etc.) ??? Coolers (hard or soft sided) ??? Food of any kind ??? Glass bottles ??? Strollers ??? Tripods ??? Umbrellas ??? Video/movie camera - There is NO re-entry. - All persons entering the stadium will be subject to a visual search by stadium personnel prior to entering the gates. In addition, persons carrying purses, diaper bags, etc. will be asked to open such items for inspection. - Virginia is committed to providing a smoke-free environment in all its facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Smoking WILL NOT BE PERMITTED in stadium seating areas, restrooms or entryways leading to the seating area. Children Rules: Children under the age of 2 do not need a ticket if they are going to sit on an adult's lap. All other patrons must have a ticket for entry into all Virginia Athletics events. User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsTop notch arena site!: Amazed at the great variety of shows this venue is drawing. Clapton, James Taylor, Rod Stewart, Blue Man, you name it! Great arena feel. Seating can be awkward in some sections. Especially in upper tier. Extremely long rows, limited seat space. Very good vendors!
