About:Trece, located in the fashionable Knox-Henderson neighborhood, is the premier "Alta Cocina Mexican" restaurant and Tequila Lounge in Dallas, Texas. The kitchen is directed by Executive Chef Ruben Peck, formerly of the famed Mansion on Turtle Creek Hotel. Peck spent his last 5 years as the Sous Chef to Amador Mora. His new Mexican cuisine is a beautiful combination of native Mexican products, delicate sauces and vibrant, robust flavors. The Dallas Morning News gave Peck four and a half stars and called Trece "One of the Best Restaurants to Open in 2006." The restaurant is a sleek combination of contemporary Mexican architecture, juxtaposed off of warm colors and commissioned Mexican art work. The casual elegance of the restaurant features several dining venues; the formal Dining room, the Private Wine Room, the Glass Enclosed Terrace, an energetic Tequila Lounge featuring 120 varieties of Tequila and the Outdoor Patio, equipped with fireplace.

The food was not so filling, there was nothing i saw there that had alot of meat. The house drinks are great and its a great place to meet people, it gets pretty crowded. I went on a Sunday for drinks and the bartender sucked really bad, waited 15 min for a mojito and when i asked for another he looked at me crazy. All the waitres's and waiters were cool...i admit i stole and avocado from the table.

I love Restaurant Week. It is an opportunity for people to sample various delicious cuisines, for restaurants to engage new customers and hopefully establish new clientele relationships. Opportunity lost is all i have to say. They misplaced my name and reservation, condescendingly blamed me for their inability to input information correctly. We didn't make it pass the hostesses. We left to eat across the street at Il Sole, which has excellent service and delicious Osso Bucco.
