Menu is very small, but assorted. Food was very fresh and good, portions are small, yet satisfying. Wait staff was very good, room was a bit noisy.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nectar for the first time after living in the Mt. Lookout are for over a year. I surely regret not having come here sooner. The dinner menu was limited, but every single item on it sounded overwhelmingly appealing. I literally couldn't make up my mind, despite our server's very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful recommendations. (He took the time to ask what we like.) I also sampled my very first Ohio wine(Kinkead Ridge - a Viognier I think it was) which was also recommended by our server and turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
The wine wasn't the only thing "local" on the menu either. There were several local items (meats, cheese, produce, etc.) among Nectar's offerings. The local theme is definitley something I appreciate, especially when the ingredients are prepared with such originality, creativity, and mastery. Nectar is now my favorite restaurant in Cincinnati and look very forward to my next visit.
This is a top notch restaurant with delicious food created by chef/owner Julie Francis who is always there to ensure a fabulous experience. Consider the theme dinners which are always fascinating and well-attended. Also great for brunch. The only downsides are parking is tough in Mt Lookout Square & it's a noisy when crowded.
