Cottonwood Coffee

An excellent coffee shop in Brookings. My husband and I have ordered the same thing every single time we've went there because it is so good. I really like the chicken salad sandwich and he really enjoys the gormet grilled cheese. The service is always wonderful and food gets out pretty quick.

So, I have been all over the country and tried coffee from all sorts of privately owned coffee houses. Cottonwood Coffee is by far one of the best coffee houses I have ever been to. Not only is their ambiance amazing, their coffee is the best coffee I have ever had. Their coffee bean is almost a little sweeter than others. After words, I went home and had a cup of my favorite brew and it didn't even compare. Their Barista's are very highly trained and make all coffee drinks perfectly. This is the one place that I have noticed they steam the milk properly, instead of doing fancy things that actually ruin the the steamed milk. The coffee was perfect in temperature, not too hot and not too cold. It was also very well presented in glass mug. The barista that made my coffee was also very skilled and made me a delightful tree using very skillful coffee art. I have to say I am very impressed by Cottonwood Coffee and I can see them being around for a very long time.

Cottonwood is awsome!: This place rocks! Their prices are very reasonable. The environment is great! The ambiance is as good or better than any cofffee shop in Minneapolis/St. Paul.or any other place in South Dakota. They have dozens (literally) of plug-ins for powering your laptop to use their free wireless internet. Don't forget the extended hours during finals weeks! A big thank you goes out to the owners for bringing a real coffee shop to Brookings!
If it was open 24h/day I'd consider staying in Brookings after I graduate.
