My entire family including the kids tried this place for the first time recently. The atmosphere is great, its perfect for a romantic night on the town...yet its laid back enough that you can feel comfortable bringing the kids. Music is played on the piano....yet its not overpowering...you can still hear each other talk...the food was great...you start with a salad off the wagon...the italian dressing is wonderful...the stuffed mushrooms had a very unique taste...i loved them, and we finished with the italian cream cake....it is so good that even though the slice is big you will seriously consider ordering another piece to take with you...totally mouth watering delicious...best cake i've ever had....while we were there the owner actually came out and introduced himself and shook my husbands hand!!!!!!!! that has never happened at any other italian restaurant in the jackson/flowood area....the waiters were very attentive to our every need...we felt like we were eating with family...except not the family you dread eating with...but the family you look forward to seeing as often as you can....we will definately be going ofter..even though its about an hour or so drive for us...its worth it...........
I loved this restaurant... my husband and I happened upon it accidentally one evening and was very impressed. You could tell that the people there really loved their buisness and what they were doing. You don't find that very often anymore! I didn't want to leave, but when we did, the owner took time to shake our hands and asked us how we liked our evening. It may sound crazy, but it is true...I teared up a little I was so impressed withe whole experience!
Absolutely the best Italian food you can get in the Jackson area. We started with a salad, self-prepared from a street vendor's wagon, and an antipasta plate. For my entree, I had the best flourintine cantelloni I think I have ever tasted. And last, but not least, ended with a mouth watering cannolli and fresh coffee. The atmosphere is authentic New York Italian. Fred, the owner, was very personable and went from table to table and chatted with everyone, which made us feel more like guests than just customers. He also suprised us with a few impromptu songs. We drove 45 minutes from Vicksburg to eat there and will absolutely be making the drive again soon and often without a second thought.
