We stopped by here on our way home from the shore this past weekend. What a nice surprise! Nice decor and very clean, friendly and quick service, and most surprising, the food was very good! I had a turkey club and my husband had the french dip sandwich...the fries were nice and crispy. I would want to stop by here again (even despite the fact that someone hit our car in the parking lot while we were inside eating and just left).
The service was amazing. Our waiter (Stephen) was most attentive and helpful. His suggestions on the food were PERFECT!! My wife and I had the Clams Casino, Prime Rib, and dessert. All were extremely delicious! Will definately be going back!!
First, let me say I adore this diner. They have fantasic desserts. Up until my last visit a week ago I'd not had anything I didn't like with one exception. The Hollindaise Sauce. They put thyme or soemthing in it and it's just, awful. Anyway, I've generally always enjoyed the diner. Last week my husband and I went for dinner, I decided to get something "new". The menu advertised Salisbury Steak. Immediatly I went for it. It was terrible! It wasn't salisbury - it was their normal meatloaf with canned mushrooms on it and smothered in brown gravy served with mashed potatoes with sour cream in them. I like potatoes with sour cream but there are just some things it doesn't go with. This was one. Needless to say I sent it back. Instead I ordered chicken corquette's. Now, there's a place in Millville called Jim's that makes just mouth water corquette's. I wasn't expecting the same but what I got wasn't anything of what I knew! These were bell shaped forms of chopped and minced up pure chicken that tasted like someone prechewed and spit them out. I am talking jared baby food chicken - that was formed, fried and plopped on the same previously mentioned mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. To top it off... the center of the corquette, while not frozen, was cold. This was the worst experience I'd ever had at the Diner.
That said, the Diner is an inviting place, it's clean and the people are attentive and friendly. They have decent seafood, great breakfasts, good sandwhiches, I love their Prime Rib. I've never had a bad service. I would reccomend it and I would go back. Just.. stay away from the previously mentioned items.
