Just left Mimis, can't say enough good stuff. Had the crab/swcorn/asparagus quiche, with fresh fruit, excellent, sweet fruit, good beer, wine and my boyfriend had the salmon, excellent too, with the fresh muffins, and they sent some home with us too! As far as the Californians comment, you must not have eaten at the same restaurant. Ours was very good and the waiters were wonderful, we're bringing the fam back when they come to visit, thanks again!!
Always great food. Try the 5 cheese grilled cheese. You'll leave stuffed! Their patio is very nice in the summer. Servers are always very friendly and knowledgeable.
First let me start by saying I am from California, and a huge fan of Mimi's. I recently went to this one and was waiting all week to go. It was my 5 year anniversary with my wife and we wanted a taste of home. First the atmosphere was not what we were accustomed to. No Jazz music playing, no barriers between booths, no low lighting and very little in the way of New Orleans decoration.
My wife and I ignored that as we loved the food and could excuse the atmosphere. We sat to eat and there was a slight confusion with my coffee, and let me say the idea of a "Buckeye" coffee? You fans need to get a hobby! Anyway, I noticed that the menu for there fish and chips did not mention New Orleans tarter sauce the one thing at every Mimi's I have ever been to. When I asked they looked at me as if I had just grown a third eye. Disappointed I tried to hide it and ordered the seafood Alfredo (dry and without flavor) my wife ordered the chicken cordon blue (dryer and no flavor).
After leaving we thought about going to McDonald's as we didn't even finish are dinner. Owners, managers please take a trip to California, visit Mimi's and fix your restaurant your killing a great food and atmosphere tradition.

You can blame Bob Evans for screwing up that one. Mimi's used to have great jazz music all the time but BE changed it to pop-crap. All the Mimi's are decorated by ONE designer and one designer only so for the difference between the looks, you must not have had your eyes open. Lighting is usually low except when people start complaining about it being too low. And the lighting only dims around 5PM. The Buckeye coffee, yes, is an Ohio thing because WE LOVE OUR BEST DAMN BAND AND TEAM in the land!!! And who doesn't like peanut butter and chocolate mixed together??? Dont worry, the tartar sauce is N'awlins... sorry BE changed the name of it! The asiago cream (alfredo in your language) is not the most flavorful, I recommend the tomato cream sauce - that one ROCKS) And if the food was not up to par, THEN HAVE IT REMADE! The cordon bleu and the pasta take 5 minutes MAYBE to recook!!! And by the way: the owners and manager DO go to Cali restaurants frequently and the Polaris Mimi's lives up to the Mimi's standard. You want amazing service - check it out sometime!!!
