First... let me say that I'm not only a neurotically picky eater, but I hate crab cakes. I grew up near Long Island Sound and I know how seafood should taste. However, having lived many years in Maryland, I was often subjected to perfectly good seafood prepared badly, usually with tons of that foul Old Bay.
This restaurant does it right. The finest crab cakes I've ever eaten. Fresh crab meat without tons of filler and harsh spices, lightly seasoned and browned perfectly. This guy could give lessons to some of the "finer" Baltimore restaurants.
The ribs are great, as well. The BBQ sauce is a tad sweet for my tastes but I merely dribble some of their California Vinegar Sauce over them and enjoy the perfect BBQ ribs.
This place doesn't offer much in the way of eat-in ambiance... but who cares? It's clean and the food is heavenly.
If you find yourself with a weekend house full of people, order here. I did and my daughter and her family raved about the food.
Best barbecue in the area; you won't find a better pulled pork sandwich. Also try the Fatt Cat Cheesesteak, yummy!
Been there done that and will again: Fatt Cat has some of the best BBQ in the area, moved here in Dec 06 and have been a regular. CHECK HIM OUT !!!!
