User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsLoved the food had a very good experience. The biscuits and cornbread looked delicious but was unable to have some because on inquiry the biscuits had lard and the corn bread had bacon fat both of which come from the swine or from pig fat and I do not eat pork

After living in the Charlotte area and trying every so-called southern restaurant, it's pretty sad Cracker Barrel is better than almost all of them. Why? Because most of the stuff is fresh and from scratch. Most southern restaurants and diners here use a lot of canned/frozen stuff. Cracker Barrel's food is fresh, good and cheaper than most other restaurants that serve similar style food.

As one would expect from a Cracker Barrell, excellent service and a decent meal for a nice price. The place is clean, well managed, the wait staff are attentive, and you get food that is above average for a chain restaurant in this general class.
