This is true Italian pizza. None of that New York or Chicago business. I lived in Italy for three years and this is the best pizza I have had since I left! And the salads are fresh and huge!

The atmosphere is simple...definitely casual dress, canned soft drinks (served with cups of ice), beer and wine, decor is basic --- but pleasant. The restaurant is located in a house, a pleasant two-block walk from the main historical downtown. The main dining area is made up of an enclosed car-port area. The wait staff is knwledgeable, casual, providing just the right amount of attentiveness.

The food is incredible! The menu is extensive (Italian)..giving one multiple reasons to visit again. The Margaritta Pizza was fantastic...a thin, crispy, golden, crust, extremely fresh toppings and well prepared in an old fashioned oven.

Prices were reasonable...I recall entrees maybe running from $8-15. The experience was good, food was very good --- lots of value for a moderate price. We would definitely stop again and recommend to others!

Being pizza-holics of Italian heritage from Chicago and New York, respectively, tried Arte's pizza and salad. What a disappointment. Taking crust, sauce and cheese into consideration on a scale of 1-10, this pizza experience rated a 5.
