My sincere advice to you is to stay away from VIP Honda.
I recently bought a Honda from them. It was such a disgusting experience. You have to be so careful in dealing with them. There is absolutely no transparency whatsoever. Just for example I was initially told by one salesman that my APR will be 5% but when the final agreement was about to be drawn, person doing the documentation said that APR is going to be 6.9%. When I told him about my 5% offer, he immediately claimed that he was not aware of it. Llooks like there is no communication from one dept to another or is it just a way to fool you .... take a guess.
There were so many such issues I had to face. At one point one of the sales person told me that he is thinking if he wants to even sell the car to me. wow What an attitude!!!! I was being such an idiot. I should have just walked out but wanted to take home a card badly that day.
I can go on and on but guess you get the point by now. Going to VIP Honda is an experience by itself - of what car buying experience should NOT be.
The store is fine. As dealerships go, they are actually one of the better ones. They have several showrooms on either side of Route 22, and enough cars on the lot to make finding a car not too big a deal. Their prices are as fair as the next place, and the same goes for the sales staff. If you have bad credit and want 2% financing, then you are setting yourself up for disappointment wherever you go. Get real. I have bought many cars, and the good thing about VIP Honda is that the entire buying process is relatively simple, straight forward, and quick. I was able to purchase the car and drive away the same day, and all in all it only took me about an hour and a half.
We went to the VIP Honda dealership in North Plainfield this week. We called the sales person to tell her we are coming and when we showed up she never came to say hello. Instead some other guy named Ryan said he would help us. He did something on his calculator and gave us a number which we were not so satisfied with. When we gave him a counter offer, he looked at it and rudely said "You can leave" or in other words to GET OUT. He was so rude and had so much attitude. We left and called the lady(Maria) we spoke to and she said she was working with customers who actually bought cars and that we were not the only customers she has and also mentioned that she understands why Ryan asked us to leave. THIS PLACE HAS THE WORST SALESMEN AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. TEHY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS SELLING AND IF THERE IS NO NEGOTIATION THEY SHOULD PUT A PRICE TAG ON THEIR VEHICLES AND LET CUSTOMERS SHOP FOR THEMSELVES. THERE IS NO NEED FOR SALESMEN. READING THE OTHER REVIEWS WE ARE GLAD WE DID NOT BUY OUR VEHICLE FROM THEM. BUYERS BEWARE OF VIP HONDA. I think HONDA needs to know what kind of dealers these people are.
