Unimaginably grotesqe people!! 7 weeks ago I had my extremely well cared for 1992 Accord (with 280,000mi) in because it stalled and I had problems starting it as It was getting cold out. They tried to tell me it was probably something I had already had serviced by an HONEST mechanic I KNOW 3 weeks earlier. It was one of those things that they could have checked to see if it had already been done (valve cover gaskets) and then moved on to other possabilities. Instead before even looking they tried to get my approval to replace it first, then went on to charge me for it, not even mentioning if that was where the problem was really coming from after looking.

Then came the other minor things that didnt NEED replacing, spark plug wires, plugs, and even the $22 PCV valve, which Im guessing was the real problem this time (as they said it was cracked). As I had checked everything else myself, but never thought to look at that. $350 later I got the car back.

Two days later the car wouldnt start again!!! I replaced more parts and then had it towed in figuring "they are the experts, they would be able to tell me". Well this time, they said it was my ignotor ( About a 20 minute fix for any decent mechanic) $106 for the part $250 for the 20 minutes to check and replace it. Car wouldnt start the next day!!!! At which point I started looking on the internet for what it could be. I ran across a forum that said to turn the key forward and let it sit for 30 sec till the fuel system pressurized. Then try it again, and again till it starts. $700 later in parts I probably didnt need, my car starts because of this little trick the dealership didnt think to mention. Older models take longer to pressurize the fuel system when its colder (coudl be due to many factors).... So I decided to file a complaint as I felt I was RIPPED OFF!!

I made the first call to the service manager and got voice mail, I left a message. 1 week later still no call back! I called again to remind the service manager, 1 call back telling me she'd call me back 3-5 days later. 3-5 days later still no call back, I called again and left another message and recieved another message back saying shed call me back. 1 week later still no call back, so i decided to pay a visit.

I showed up, she said it wasnt her fault someone filed my folder in someone elses drawer. After 20 miuntes of being interregated as if I was the enemy she still did not allow me enough breath to explain what had happened!!! UNBELIVABLE the way I was treated. It took me mentioning that I had spoke to the attorney generals office and also wanted the number to the corporate office in order to get her to even say she would consider that they screwed me over. But you should have seen the light of truth that shown when I said to her that I really do believe that they replaced a part in my vehicle knowing that it did not need to be replaced. It was as if she had to run so far inside herself to find why she defends her discusting job when people like myself are getting ripped off. So she decided to have the OTHER service manager call me back.

This guy, started out very nice, he was appropriate until I said that the "$100 discount" was NOT EVEN CLOSE ENOUGH to what I deserved after being ripped off like this. 25 minutes of him bitching (cause he knew what they did, and that it was wrong) and he agreed to refund me half of what Id spent. Then hung up on me in mid sentence.
Cant beleive how low people will go to make millions of buck.
Please dont ever put yourself what I went through,
Go to Buerke's Honda or look for another place, but stay away from Luthers, they ripped me off!
    Peace
