my boyfriend and i have been a few times and we really like it. there onion rings are pretty good although i don't think they are hand battered but still large and delicious. the hamburgers and real big and very good. it's greasy but not too greasy. the waitresses are fun and the food doesn't take long to come out. the hot sauce and chips are great too. the chips they fry and put special seasoning on them and the hot sauce is spicy! i think the price is very reasonable and it is always consistent.
My Husband is always on a quest to locate the best burger in Texas. On our way to Cowboys Stadium this past weekend, we noticed Tom's. As I am obsessed with finding a Texas version of an authentic upstate diner, I agreed to eat at Tom's based solely on its looks.
Needless to say we were both pleased; my hubby got a terrific burger and I was introduced to the best onion rings I've ever had! If you go on the way to a football game ( or any other event Mr. Jones has planned), don't worry about spending money for concessions later, you won't be hungry!
There is no better burger on the planet that at Tom's. And the onion rings are like no others. They have a very light batter on them and they melt in your mouth. By comparison, Kincaid's burgers are fair. Kincaid's onion rings are heavy and not nearly as good.
Whenever I go to see my son at Texas A&M, I have to stop and get him a burger from Tom's. They wrap the parts separately and it travels well.
