About:On display in this large complexSteven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, are aviation and space vehicles, equipment and other machinery that are too large to fit in the National Mall . Visitors can explore the aviation and space hangars and climb up to the top of the observation tower. There are also regular educational tours and flight simulators. The Wall of Honor near the entrance is a testament to those who have dedicated their lives to advancing space and flight technology.

    Everything in the museum was great except for the fact that my 31 year old bf hurt his back on the F-4 flight simulator experience. The contraption lets you experience rolls and side to side maneuvering while shooting at targets.

    Use caution when attempting to go on this $8 ride.

    As for the free museum tours, both my bf and I were amazed on the amount of info the tour guide for the space exhibit had. He was able to answer questions readily from the audience. The space shuttle Enterprise was there. My bf and I were also excited to see the SR-71 Blackbird displayed there. You know the one from Transformers! ;)
