I have been to the Vibe Lounge several times. The first couple visits the crowd was ok. Ever since they started the Roots Rock Reggae the crowd is definitely mature, classy, yet sexy. The music brings you back to islands, cultural. No disrespectful lyrics to be heard on Roots Rock Reggae night. The Djs selected to play knows exactly what the crowd wants, danceable tunes-some you can even sing along with. If you are looking to party with enjoyment, mingle in a mellow enviroment no need to hop on the LIRR, burn out your gas, pay for exspensive manhattan parking, or pay some outrages admission to have a good time the action is in Rockville Centre LI. Admission was economy friendly for Thanksgiving weekend so I'm sure they will keep it the same way for Christmas. I will definitely be there on December 27th with my people. Keep the good vibes flowing.
This was my 2nd time at the venue and I must say, very satifying music this side of the Cross Island Expy. The atmosphere was sheik. As the club rebuilds its popularity, and gets reknown, this time for rootical music and vibes and not unpeaceful acts, I will surly be a part of the monthly unity. I reccomend this lounge to anyone who is looking to be accepted diversly to enjoy pure and clean music which is a universal cry for peace.
I usually party in the city, but last night was encouraged by a friend to check out the best of '70's & '80's classic reggae music at Vibe Lounge, I was more than pleased - the place truly is beautiful inside, with it's inviting modern decor, nicely situated bar and wall to wall LCD screen televisions - NYC feel in LI, I was impressed. I didn't encounter any 'neighborhood kids acting a fool' in the grown, sexy & eclectic crowd. The staff was friendly and professional. They won me over when I was served vegan appetizers. Oh, I will definitely go back with my friends next month on the 27th when they have their Roots, Rock, Reggae event.
