By FAR the very best food in the Twin Cities area. Their steaks are the very best one can buy and eat. Their sandwiches are wonderful and their wait staff is excellent. The place doesn't look like much when fist seeing it. But just wait until you get inside! I would recommend that booths be installed but they are still a "young" restaurant. They are family owned and they definitely have the very best steaks...the highest graded steaks in the metro area. They compete with Gordy's Steakhouse in Mahtomedi but both places are full most every night...especially on the weekends. VERY highly recommended for those in the White Bear Lake, Stillwater, Oakdale and Mahtomedi area...however, it is well worth the drive to experience this fine dining restaurant. It seems to bring back the days of the 30's when the Chicago gangsters enjoyed fine dining in that area. Great place, great food and reasonable prices for the excellent food one gets!

Fantastic sandwiches, great deli, terrific pizza. It's great to see a company like this in Mahtomedi that's lasting. Everyone in the kitchen is always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. The ONLY gripe I have is service.

The waitstaff is completely lousy. I have been seated and waited for 30 minutes for a server to come by. 90% of the time they are all at the bar talking to one another instead of serving the customers. We no longer dine in, after 5 horrible experiences, we just order take out from them.

Give them a shot, BUT don't eat in.
