Joes is a wonderful and friendly place where the food is fabulous with large portions. The cook and owner seems to greet or know every one that comes in. He is Portuguese and said he will cook, upon request, some of his native dishes but they are generally not on the menu. His wife has introduced recipes from her native land Mexico, all of which are fresh, fragrant, and authentic. This is some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. Be prepared to stand in line, especially for breakfast unless you get there before 7:30am. The service is fast making the food you’ve ordered hot when it’s brought to your table. This is a friendly place where every one seems to know every one. Check this place out and while there meet Joe, he’s great.

This little gem just off hwy 5 north of Redding offers the best and the most Mexican food for your dollar anywhere, period. As of this writing, they offer breakfast and lunch and have plans to serve dinner in the near future.

Go ahead and order anything on the menu (I love their shreded pork enchaladas), I promise you..... you will be stuffed to the gills.

They offer fine service, a friendly staff and great food.
