I found Super Sushi to be really good. I like "Ocean Blue" which is another Redlands Sushi Favorite. But Super Sushi is good and I thought it had really good prices. Karen the manager is also another reason why this place is good. She really makes you feel at home and she really does care about your experience!! I like the service so much that I have not returned to Ocean Blue even though it was my favorite for 3 years! Give it a chance I don't think you'll be dissappointed!
I'm sorry but the new Super Sushi (under new ownership) is not good at all. I miss the old one immensely. I used to frequent it every other week...but now with the new management, the food quality has suffered and the prices have gone up. The miso soup was dilute. The tempura was not good. I ordered "mixed tempura" and got..a shrimp, 3 pumpkins, and a potato. Yeah...I fine selection of veggies. Plus..the tempura sauce came in a saucer about half a centimeter deep. Trust me. I measured. It was so shallow I ended up having to pour the sauce on because I couldn't dip anything in it. The rice was overcooked and chewy too! I had brown grains that were burnt! The absolute worst part of all...was that they pumped banging techno music throughout the restaurant. It was annoying. I was trying to enjoy a nice quite bento box lunch...when all I could hear was some song saying "THE DEVIL THE DEVIL" Over and over again with a heavy base line in the background. Yeah...it confused me too. I wasn't really in the mood for an electro dance club at 1:00 in the afternoon. I know this sounds too absurd to be true...but trust me. I had to go through it. Don't get me wrong. The manager was nice. She came over and introduced herself. But I loved the old Super Sushi...with it's bamboo fountain, paper screens, and japanese artwork adorning the walls. Not to mention the subtle traditional koto music in the background. But this new restaurant is awkward and not japanese at all.
Impressive! We tried Super Sushi's all-you-can-eat menu today and we have to give credit where credit is due. The menu was superb and the service just the best. Karen, the mgr, introduced herself to us and made sure we were happy customers. All of our questions were answered and our tummies were filled up with very fine fare. I will recommend this establishment to all my friends and family. We will definitely be back.
