I was a little disappointed after reading such great reviews.
I went on line and requested a private area and got seated in the middle of all the families. Told them online we were celebrateing 2 birthdays and never once did they bring it up and I even mentioned it and never they still said nothing about it. The veiw was great but as we walk up to the door and the Manager who dresses like a stripper was standing right in front of the entrance while puffing on a cigerate Never addressed us being new to the restraunt couldnt figure where the entrance was. Grandmother had Broncitis so walking into a wall of smoke started the exsperience wrong.
The only thing I can say positive was the waiter was great, the food on the other hand was questionable. I had the Filet Mingon special with 2 sides . $ 23.95 I thought great deal until I recieved my meal and the Filet was 3x3 smaller than my fist. If I knew this I would of got the Filet with no sides if it would of been larger. My grandmother got Grilled Chicken Breast on Whipped Potatoes, sounds great Right? Until we recieved it and it has a bone and it, it was more work that good, and was square in the middle of the potatoes that had a very pamitoy taste/ not a big fan.
I got Chocolate Martini and it wasnt great.
Shark was good .House Salad Horrible.
I was noticing that the people beside us had the same Filet special and theirs was double the size of ours.
To far to drive , and food wasnt worth the price. I have definitly had better. Knowing that he was a Chef at Del Frisco's I expected alot better.
The location is unique and rural on a knoll with a slew of oaks alining the drive up to it. The rustic sophistication is clearly as rich and delightful as the signature dishes. The casual and yet formal feel of the place is enchanting. Most seating is prime, and any special requests are honored to the "t". Clearly the mastery of the classic Texas steak is not cheated, my steak was cooked to perfection! Well rubbed and full of flavor, truly one of the best steaks I have ever had. I will be frequenting this place again!
perfect place: delightfully elegant

a must visit for special event
